Facebook Pages Feed: Are You Reaching All Your Fans?

By Mandi Webster-Martin

There's been a lot of talk lately about Facebook and the fact that many brands are only reaching a fraction of their fans.

The only solutions seemed to be paying for “promoted” posts, buying Facebook ads, or creating an “interests” page.

Facebook has recently launched a Pages Feed, which contains all the updates from pages you’ve liked. There’s a new “Pages Feed” link in the bookmarks sidebar on the lefthand side of your FB navigation. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a way to toggle between the “most recent” and “top performing” stories on the Pages Feed, so you may still miss out on some posts if you’re a fan of too many pages. Currently, it looks like top performing brand posts will still appear in your regular news feed, but it might be handy to check the Pages Feed occasionally to see what you missed.

If you’re a small business owner, you should take this into account and utilize some best practices when it comes to scheduling your posts and making your content as effective as possible.

You can access the feed directly by going to https://www.facebook.com/pages/feed
