Corporate Retreats and Company Culture

By Mandi Webster-Martin

Every Fall, all three offices shut down for 3 days and we head to Ellensburg for our company retreat.

The retreat is a way to reconnect with each other. While we are in constant communication with each office via phone, video chat, and email, it's not the same as sitting down and having a face to face discussion. At the retreat, we are able to discuss the challenges we've faced during the previous year and brainstorm ways to reduce those challenges in the future.

Some of the best ideas and discussions happen when we can get away from the office for a little while. Change of environment = change of perspective.

What does your company do to foster creativity and open communication? Do you ever think outside the (literal) box?
