After three short months, my time at SiteCrafting is quickly coming to an end. As I look back on my experiences, I'm amazed at how much I've gained in such a short amount of time.
My duties as SiteCrafting's Marketing Intern ranged from a variety of skill-building tasks. On the daily, I worked on updating business hour information on SiteCrafting's Mobile Wine Tour app. I updated over 1,000 winery business hours out of over 4,000…not too shabby! Occasionally, I worked on several projects that differed from week to week. I created news items for website launches or upcoming projects, wrote team profiles, conducted research, generated newsletters, and whipped up some clever social media posts. Out of all of my intern projects, my favorites were creating a blog post comparing the video-recording capabilities of my two favorite smartphone apps, Vine and Instagram, and writing a press release on behalf of SiteCrafting's 2013 Gear Grant recipient, FISH Food Banks of Pierce County.
The SiteCrafting team is phenomenal. Their work has given so many organizations the tools and custom web presence they want to grow their website. I've really enjoyed working in a laid back working environment with extraordinarily, talented people who excel at what they do. I've also had a great time learning about website and application development, as well as new facets of marketing.
I owe all of these experiences to SiteCrafting. Thank you all for making my summer even more spectacular than I expected. I couldn't have asked for a cooler company to intern with!
