We all know that design and development firms are really run on caffeine. Coffee, energy drinks, tea, and even energy beers now. I usually can be found with 2-3 coffee cups on my desk throughout the week but I will never forget about one developer who I worked with. Each day he would purchase 3-4 drip coffees from Starbucks and then would stack the cups creating a wall about 5 layers high creating his own cubical wall. It was all fine until one day when a few of them turned sour and his office buddy/management put an end to it.
What do you prefer to drink while working? I'm usually a fan of mochas or red bull. Have any ridiculous stories about coworkers caffeine habits?

Considering my body can't take caffeine I just stick with water and caffeine-free coke.

In college I would have a rockstar and a maple bar for breakfast nearly everyday... I blame my rockstar habits on my very first internship where the company had a stocked fridge of rockstar. Can't go wrong with water Luke, some nice work in your portfolio too
cheers

Mostly black coffee, too much. I used to be a cappuccino guy but these days I find the milk just get's in the way.

New a guy at my former job that had at least one "big gulp" sized thermos of coffee each day. That thing was something like 50+ ounces. Yikes!

I had a few buddies in high school who would make pixi-dew. They heated up Mountain Dew and dissolved pixie stix in it. You could go from normal to jittery in just a few sips. *shudder*

I'm on a crazy phase of club soda. I've bucked soft drinks (14 months and counting) but I need the bubbles. Coffee-wise, all i need is a big espresso in the afternoon.

I've become such a coffee snob over the last year - something from The Large Seattle-Based World-Overtaking Chain or from the office coffee machine will do to wake me up in the morning, but since there's no coffee place that I can really enjoy nearby the office, I end up with just water throughout the day. Which is probably better for me and my wallet, anyway. When I can, I drink white mochas or caramel lattes, in both cases with an extra espresso shot and soy milk.
