When to go for it? Always!
The Ayes Have It
Seth Godin's latest blog post We Can Do It reminds me of the attitude around our office. We have a staff committed to "going for it", a group committed to "Yes" and then making certain we deliver.
A few recent "YES" moments:
It's funny, it doesn't always end up the way we think, but more often than not we are pleasantly surprised with the effects our efforts have on ourselves, our teammates, and on others.
The SHIFT Awards
There were some dark days in the office when we were planning the event and some perceived negativity around the event from some members in the community. We pushed on - especially Mandi and Michael - and created an event Wednesday night that had great energy, was well received, and people are already looking to participate next year. Thank You team.
PEMCO WALLY
There is a team at SiteCrafting that simply would not give up. We were presented with some long odds and impossible deadline related to scope, but we pushed on. The site launched later than we all wanted, but the result was worth the wait. Have a look here. There were no - "No I can'ts", "That's impossibles" or "I give ups" despite very late nights/all-nighters, shifting requirements, not to mention the project development fell right between Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Thank you team.
The Move to Spokane
"Why is SiteCrafting opening an office in Spokane?" - "What are you thinking?"
These were the "No" questions Mike and his team have stepped up to answer. While being across the state has had it's own challenges, Team SiteCrafting Spokane is stepping up, stepping out, and getting noticed. Thank you.
This all goes along with an earlier blog I did called Let it Shine - anything worth doing is worth doing with gusto. "Go Big or Go Home" as the old saying goes.
Things seem to go best when we listen and act on the possibilities with optimism.
