Social Media Intern
An ideal candidate would be a current business or communications student or recent graduate looking for practical training and experience in the social media field. This position would get hands-on training with marketing staff to learn how social media is an instrumental component of real-world business development strategies.

Reports to: Sarah Champion, Strategic Development Manager
Timeframe: 3 months (can be adjusted to accommodate university credit requirements)
Time commitment: 6 - 8 hours per week
Compensation: unpaid

Tactical Work Listing
- Utilizing task list assigned to intern capacity, complete daily marketing and social media tasks
- Monitor client social media activity and prepare responses for marketing coordinator review/approval/distribution
- As needed, research topics related to client industry, community and business and draft Twitter messages, Facebook messages and blog entries for clients as part of their social media campaign
- Assist Marketing Coordinators with the scheduling of content each month client social media campaign
- Support internal marketing initiatives, including website analytics review/utilization and updating content for SiteCrafting’s website, blog, Facebook and Twitter accounts.
- When applicable, sit-in on meetings with clients about social media and website strategy

- All business communications, whether verbal, visual, or written, whether for internal or external use will be professional in tone and content and according to any applicable company standards

- All work will be performed in accordance with all government laws, regulation, ordinances, and court rulings in those jurisdictions in which the company operates.
- Client and company information will be held as strictly confidential outside the company.
- All e-mail correspondence, both internal and external, will receive a response within one business day and within two hours whenever possible.
- All innovation will be quantified, tested, and may be improved, then documented for routine implementation.s.
- Intern employees will respect co-workers time, space and need for concentration. Socializing and interruptions must not impede workflow.
- Intern employees are encouraged to recommend ideas for the improvement of their department and position.
