SiteCrafting: Doing It Right

On April 12, 2009, the Business section of the News Tribune featured SiteCrafting as "A Tacoma company that does it right". Kelly Kearsley interviewed SiteCrafting President Brian Forth and Web Production Manager Mike Ash about the history of the company and its plans for the future, including expanding to Spokane.

From the article:
Forth ? with the help of his fantastically loyal staff ? has grown Sitecrafting from a one-man show to a 22-employee operation that gets rave reviews from customers and has plans to expand at a time when many companies are letting people go.

"I think we sell a service, and it's trust," Forth said. "We are selling problem-solving and a relationship. The way to sustain that is to have a staff that is consistent ? customers depend on that continuity."

Forth is being recognized this month as the Small Business Leader of the Year by the University of Washington Tacoma Milgard School of Business.

SiteCrafting will open its second office in Spokane during the summer of 2009 and will relocate two staff members to the new location, including General Manager Mike Ash, a seven year SiteCrafting veteran and previously from the Tri-Cities. The company plans to open the new office with a team of five and has projected growth to as many as ten employees in the first year.

SiteCrafting has been based in the Puget Sound since 1998, and will continue to keep its corporate headquarters in Tacoma, WA. In addition to the hirings in Spokane, have plans to add additional design and development staff in Tacoma.

LeMay TourFriday, April 17th, SiteCrafting closed the offices early and journeyed to Marymount for a tour of LeMay- AMERICA'S CAR MUSEUM.  Led by museum docent Pierce, the SiteCrafting team saw over 300 cars, trucks, and other vehicles, which represents only a fraction of the entire LeMay collection.

LeMay- AMERICA'S CAR MUSEUM is currently located in Spanaway, Washington, but has plans to open a new, nine-acre facility near the Tacoma Dome.
