Airstream
Established in 1932 by Wally Byam, Airstream has been providing quality travel trailers for over 75 years. The 2008 fleet includes designs for everyone from the weekend camper to the cross-country traveler. Airstream’s trailers and touring coaches are designed for efficiency and longevity, which is why over 70% of all Airstream’s ever made are still on the road today. Airstream currently has trailer dealers across the US, as well as in Europe, Canada, Asia, and Australia.
Needs
Airstream was using an off the shelf third party shopping cart which was out of date and had been discontinued by the vendor. As a result the cart had long term security and scalability limitations. Most pressing was the need to have the cart operational by the busy holiday shopping season.
Solution
SiteCrafting offers both custom carts as well as customization services for a variety of third party carts. In general we recommend a custom solutions, especially if there are a lot of specialized needs. In the case of Airstream we evaluated their situation and elected to customize OSCommerce due to timeline restraints and the limited feature set necessary to launch. The online store has increased revenue and has eliminated lost orders, headaches and other problems associated with an incomplete solution.

KBTC
KBTC is an affiliate of PBS and a service of Bates Technical College, which provides programming to over 200,000 households in the Pacific Northwest. KBTC’s mission is to enrich lives through programs and services that educate, inspire, and entertain. Programs range from children’s cartoons to music concerts. Recently, KBTC received an Emmy for their weekly documentary series, Full Focus, a program designed to help viewers feel connected to their own communities. Over half of KBTC’s funding comes from viewer donations.
Needs
KBTC had a content management system which had been developed a few years back by a different web firm. While the system had been good initially, they needed a more comprehensive/scalable long term solution. The new site needed to integrate online giving, video streaming, as well as be ready to grow with KBTC.
Solution
SiteCrafting worked with initial website designs offered by KBTC internal staff and developed a comprehensive Content Management System, Video Management Module, Online Donation module, and integration with PBS scheduling and channel lineup.
The system developed by SiteCrafting is already paying dividends to KBTC who is looking to expand the system to manage offline donations as well as online donations. SiteCrafting solutions enable companies to fundamentally change, for the better, the way they do business.

Mountain Mist
Owned by the Richardson family, Mountain Mist began providing bottled water to the public in 1989. With two artesian wells on-site, Mountain Mist has grown from just a few hundred square feet to a 45,000 square foot warehouse and bottling facility located near Graham, Washington. Mountain Mist provides water and dispensers for home or office delivery, cases of bottled water, as well as coffee and tea products.
Needs
Mountain Mist needed an updated website design as well as better tools to manage the content/projects on the website. Beyond just an updated website presence, Mountain Mist wanted to increase it’s market share by allowing new subscribers to start service and existing subscribers to add items (coffee & tea) to their regular delivery service.
