About the Project

In 2010, PEMCO and SiteCrafting worked to redevelop the microsite for PEMCOʼs “We’re A Lot Like You. A Little Different.” campaign.  The campaign highlights the quirky and celebrated characters of the Northwest, and its interactive nature necessitated multiple media formats including audio, video, blog integration, and the creation of contest and poll features. One major challenge was recreating PEMCO’s rotating carousel of Northwest Profiles without using Flash.

The Result

The finished site, WEREALOTLIKEYOU.com incorporates a combination of JavaScript, jquery, and custom image resizing for the rotating carousel of Northwest Profiles. Additional features include video and audio management, social media, and calendar integration. Visitors can also create and submit their own unique profiles which are displayed on the WALLY website after approval.
