About the Project

The Tacoma Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau is a non-profit destination marketing organization dedicated to promoting tourism in Pierce County. They wanted a website that would cater to individual visitors, group tour operators, leisure travelers and meeting planners. They were also working in collaboration with the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau and Seattle’s Convention and Visitors Bureau on Tourism Revealed, a “scavenger hunt” style website dedicated to promoting tourism in Pierce, King and Snohomish Counties.

The Result

The CVB’s website www.traveltacoma.com was integrated with ARES (Advanced Reservation System, Inc) allowing users to book hotel stays, build itineraries and access deals from hundreds of businesses around Puget Sound. SiteCrafting also built a custom CRM system which allows Travel Tacoma to manage customer information, leads and related tasks and generate reports from their website admin center.

SiteCrafting also designed and built tourismrevealed.com, an online scavenger hunt which allows visitors to sign up for each month’s contest, get information about various destinations associated with the contest, view maps and submit photo entries. A mobile version of the site makes entering the contests even easier, as users can access the site on their smart phone.
