GearLab: Our User Experience & Design Research Lab

User experience (UX) is all about crafting a useful, enjoyable, and desirable experience for the user. Leveraging tools and methodologies from human-centered design and human computer interaction, our UX and design research lab GearLab researches, designs, tests, and iterates on concepts to ensure a vetted, optimal experience for users, whether they are an incoming patient at a hospital or a parent registering their children for swim classes.

While UX encompasses a wide range of disciplines, we focus our efforts on a data-driven design approach at SiteCrafting and GearLab, ensuring that our initial research informs potential solutions and that they are all equally tested utilizing a stratified sample of actual users. UX not only aims to maximize desirable metrics like conversion rates for our clients, but just as importantly turns their eye on the end users to ensure that they can accomplish their goals in a fast, efficient, and pleasurable way.
