New Website, Online Sales and Unprecedented Times

7 Seas Brewing is one of the largest craft breweries in the South Sound with taprooms in Gig Harbor and Tacoma, Washington. Fun fact: 7 Seas was the first craft brewery to produce canned beer in Washington state. SiteCrafting, a longtime fan of 7 Seas in growlers and cans, helped bring the brewery’s new brand to life with a digital experience that matches taproom ambiance and included an online store (did somebody say “beer-to-go?”).

The Timing

Timing is everything. In the case of the 7 Seas website redesign, the timing was a cacophony of a planned label redesign and the coronavirus pandemic.

With a new brand identity in the works and a state-wide stay-home order in place, we knew the turnaround time needed to be tight so the team at 7 Seas could unveil its new look and also connect customers with its beers while taprooms were temporarily closed. A digital experience that blended e-commerce was essential.

Integrating Brand, Launching Online Sales

Collaboration was essential to make this project a success. We worked with the design firm Blind Tiger to implement the new look and feel of 7 Seas in a WordPress site. Our developers crafted new templates for the homepage, interior pages including a page that displayed the variety of beers available for purchase online.

Our team had fun designing the Are you over 21? Pop-up. If users click the no button, they are redirected to the My Little Ponies website by Hasbro.

Click for Curbside Pick Up

In addition to integrated updated brand designs, our team integrated the online store  — a new feature fo the brewery — with the existing payment and inventory tracking systems. As curbside pick-up entered the consumer vernacular, our team made sure the purchase experiences included curbside confirmation and details for the Gig Harbor and Tacoma taprooms.
